About DayCents
Personal finance tools should be fast, honest, and free — and they should show their work.
What we do
DayCentsbuilds interactive calculators and educational guides for everyday money decisions: mortgages, loans, savings, retirement, taxes, and insurance. Every tool explains its formula, states its assumptions, and cites its data sources — you should never have to trust a number you can't verify.
How our calculators work
All calculations run on a single, rigorously tested engine. Money math is computed in exact cents and validated against authoritative references (spreadsheet functions, published amortization tables, IRS worked examples). When laws or limits change — tax brackets, contribution limits — we update the underlying datasets and every dependent tool updates with them, with the effective date shown.
How we make money
The site is free to use. As we grow, we plan to earn revenue from advertising and from partner offers clearly labeled as such. Two commitments are permanent: rankings and calculator results are never influenced by compensation, and anything sponsored is disclosed where you see it.
What we are not
We are a publisher of educational tools — not a lender, broker, insurance producer, or registered investment advisor. Our content is information, not individualized advice. For decisions with major consequences, talk to a qualified professional who knows your situation.
